When he went into school, he met up with his band, a Chamametchi and a Hinotamatchi. Chamametchi I've had before, and Hinotamatchi is the average care teen for males. He's roundish and looks almost like Kuchitamatchi, although he has spiky hair that's dyed red at the top. I named their band 'Clams', because... Well, because.
Here is what Kikitchi looks like:
The funny thing is, in the Tamagotchi+Colour (at least I believe it's that version) Kikitchi is considered an adult, as is Chamametchi and as such the two are able to marry. Speaking of the Tamagotchi Colour and the ID, the Tama-Go (the pathetic attempt at localising them with only half the work involved) was ridiculous compared to them. It took the best feature of the ID and Colour, which was they were in colour, and did it in grayscale instead! I don't own a Tamagotchi ID or Colour, but I'm hoping to purchase one soon - seeing as the ID is now in English. I wouldn't have minded a Japanese one, considering Tamagotchis don't really have much reading involved, but the English one would be nice to have.
Also, now they're releasing a new tama that still isn't in colour, whilst Japan has already begun the marketing process for the Tamagotchi 4U, which is in colour and allows you to unlock features that previously haven't been options, such as actual potty training. But, I digress.
James got an ice cream from the King today. I don't really feed my tamas snacks, apart from on the older ones when it was needed to play games. Mine would always end up with toothaches. He also got a visit from his mother, Alice, who gave him 15,000gp, much the same way as Pip did before that.
Emily has a job now! I wanted her to become a preschool teacher, but I guess being really glamorous doesn't exactly make you suitable for that job. She failed with three Xs! It didn't matter, however, as she was instantly transported back to the job-picking screen. I made her become a banker instead. The banker game is exactly the same as the doctor one, different only in visual design. You now collect pennies, which give you one point, and notes, which give you two. You must avoid the poops and collect one hundred in total.
I'm hoping I can get the secret character for Emily before she gets married. Once your tama gets married, they can't change into a secret character.
Also, I realised that I never explained how the training bar works in the older versions. When your tama is a baby, it starts out by being empty. There are nine slots to fill, and you gain one every time you give the correct response to when your tamagotchi beeps for something. To give your tamagotchi attention when it beeps (this is not a beep similar to that of the 'you have mail' beep in the V4/.5, it is the beep that sounds right when your tama hatches and needs food and happiness), scroll through the menu options until you reach the first option on the second row. It looks like a little face crying out.
Select the face and you will be presented with two options; time out or praise. You must use a little intuition when you first start doing this, because if you select the option that wouldn't be relevant to the tama's needs, then the lit-up sign begging for attention will disappear and you will lose the chance to gain any training bars.
Here are the general things that your tamagotchi will do and how to respond to them.
Praise your tamagotchi when:
It cries.
It turns its back on you*.
Give your tamagotchi a time-out when:
It beeps for attention and nothing is wrong (hearts aren't emptied all the way, nothing out of the ordinary).
*Sometimes, when your tamagotchi turns its back on you, this can mean you've been neglecting it. If you come back from being away a long time and your tama has its back to you, this may mean that all of its hunger and happy hearts have been depleted. Praising it in this situation will not award you any training bars. You'll know if the praising has done nothing because no happy noise will sound. Giving a tamagotchi a time-out, however, whatever the situation, will make him upset.
Okay, stat time.
